If you look at today’s economic situation, you see many people without jobs, people losing their homes to foreclosure, and a sense of fear and insecurity about the future. Jobs that were once considered stable are now questionable. Listen. The psalmist cries in verses 1-2, "Out of the depths have I cried unto Thee, O LORD. A victim looks at everyone else and cries out, “Life isn’t fair.” A student looks at life and says, “What happened to me could have happened to anyone.” A victim believes his hard times have come because God is trying to punish him.
